In the lesson attached, students will collect data for speeds of throwing a ball with their right and left arms. Students will solve for average speed, create and interpret box and whisker plots, and use dimensional analysis to analyze results.
The first file attached is the teacher directions
The second file is the throwing lesson/worksheet
The third is the box whisker plot
The fourth is an analysis of all the date comparing the students’ speed to major league players’ speed. Note: The lesson is outdated and “John Lackey” and “Vladimir Guerrero” are no longer on the Angels.
