The word doc attached is a quadratics lesson that challenges students to compare the relationship between perimeter and area, to maximize the fencing of a pig pen to create the greatest possible pig pen area. Fantastic lesson that ties in geometry with graphing parabolas, and this type of problem will eventually be revisited when they learn optimization in Calculus.
