The PDF linked below challenges students to demonstrate understanding of the concept of quantities. They must understand the attributes of trapezoids, how to determine the area of trapezoids, how to determine the volume of a figure with two trapezoidal sides, and how to interpret rate and time graphs. A student must be able to approximate and interpret rates of change from graphic and numeric data. A student must make sense of this mathematics in a real‐world context of the dimensions of a swimming pool.
