In going over the Triangle Sum Theorems, particularly the corollary pertaining to the two acute angles of a right triangle being complementary, I like to do a problem involving a handicapped wheelchair ramp, and how it must meet a certain angle requirement in order to be deemed safe. I’ll then point out that in Forrest Gump, the ramp wasn’t safe, and Lt. Dan went dangerously sliding down the icy ramp.

Note: this picture does not involve finding for angles, so I’ll include angles for the two acute angles like 8x and x and have them solve for x.
